Govt Alert on Group-1
Today, Hyderabad: The government has become alarmed in the face of the opposition parties also supporting the candidates who are agitating for the postponement of the Group-1 Mains exams and the cancellation of JIO 29. A key announcement is likely to be made on Sunday. Mains exams will start from 21st of this month. Candidates are demanding that these exams should be postponed for a few days and JEO 29 should be cancelled. The unemployed have been protesting on the road in Hyderabad for the past few days in support of those who have passed the preliminary examination. In this order, Ministers Damodar Rajanarsimha, Sridhar Babu and Konda Surekha discussed with the higher officials at Minister Ponnam Prabhakar's house in the Minister's residential premises on Saturday night.
PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud also participated in this meeting. Information was collected from higher authorities on every objection expressed by the candidates. The ministers and PCC president discussed with the high officials for three long hours till midnight on whether it is possible to actually postpone the Group-1 exam. He inquired about the criticisms coming on Jeeves 29. It seems that it was also discussed that if the exam is postponed to Sunday because the exam is on Monday, it will cause negative effects from the candidates who have studied hard. The Ministers and the PCC President discussed the issue of taking precautions so that the examination is not postponed and no candidate loses. It seems that the government will discuss with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy again on Sunday and come to a final decision.
